Projects: Canal Barge on the Rivers of Louisiana

Last week, I traveled to the Southeast side of the boot to capture images for our beloved client, Canal Barge Company.

I started on Thursday, capturing their departure from New Iberia.

Due to the canal's small & quick turns, they merged the two barges at the intersection of the Intercostal Waterway. I wanted to capture that as well but there was ZILCH for road access.

Later caught them on the east side of Morgan City, following them as far as the roads allowed before they entered full marshland on the Intercostal Waterway. It was here that I finally got to witness the LENGTH these two barges combined had created!

After traveling to Houma for the second night, I was able to find them a final time coming into Barataria (just North of Lafitte, La) on a thick and foggy Saturday morning before heading back home!
